KETV holds workshops throughout the year. For details of upcoming workshops, or to discuss your own requirements, please contact us.
Some of our previous workshops include:
Film & Theatre Makeup Effects Workshop
15 to 18 year olds learnt how to design and create gruesome special effects and wounds using injury wax and latex wounds. Using makeup they also learn t how to produce convincing bruises and scars.
“At first I thought it would be a bit girly for me to be using make-up, but as soon as the blood come into the equation I was right in the zone, getting wax and blood everywhere (just like being a little kid at a party). And, of course, it was great fun!” - Bradley, 18
Documentary Workshop
Students from around Kent learnt how to make documentaries with a BBC director.
The workshop candidates learnt valuable techniques of documentary filmmaking including how to conduct professional interviews, editing styles using advanced programmes and how to produce narrative. The three day workshop allowed everyone to have the opportunity to create their own documentary and to experience what each role in the filmmaking process was like.
Production Workshop
A group of 12 to 18 year olds joined the crew at the KETV studios in Dover to learn how to make a film from script development through to editing and post-production.
